Dr. Alicia Power shares a practice with Dr. Jane McGregor
I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario then spent some time on the East Coast before moving West to Vancouver and then Victoria. I did my medical training through UBC and came to Victoria to finish my training in family practice. I am passionate about system improvement, improving support for pregnant and newly parenting people and teaching both residents and medical students. These passions have resulted in the creation of an online patient education platform focused on pregnant and newly parenting people. Check it out at www.shefoundhealth.ca!
I live with my husband, two kids and our dog. We enjoy the outdoors and family game nights.
DR. Alicia Power
Dr. Jane McGregor was Dr. Power’s resident from 2015-2018 and it worked out so well they decided to keep a good thing going and start to practice share! Dr. McGregor is a Victoria local (lived here since age 10). She attended UVic for her undergraduate studies where she completed a Kinesiology degree while playing basketball for the Vikes. She then completed medical school in Vancouver at UBC before coming back to her beloved island for residency. She loves both family medicine and maternity care and really feels at home working in the collaborative environment at Grow Health.
Outside of medicine, Dr. McGregor enjoys getting outside with her family and dog. She has two young daughters born in 2016 and 2019 and loves to go on biking and hiking adventures with them and her husband.
