Dr. Megan Karpenko was born and raised in Prince George, BC. She moved to Victoria to complete a B.Sc. in Biochemistry at UVIC before returning to Northern BC for medical school through UBC’s Northern Medical Program. She then made her way back to the island for her Family Medicine residency in Victoria. She is excited to join the GROW Health team, where she completed her residency training, and to continue providing maternity care alongside Dr. McGregor through a shared-care model.
Megan finds maternity care to be an incredibly rewarding part of family medicine and feels privileged to support patients through pregnancy, birth, and the exciting transition of growing their families.
Outside of medicine, Megan can often be found hiking, cross-country skiing, or camping. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and perfecting making an oat cappuccino at home.
