Amanda Whitten attended University of Calgary Medical school, Family Medicine residency at University of Ottawa and extra residency training in low-risk obstetrics and women's health at the University of Toronto. I also have specialized training in substance use work and perinatal substance use care. 

I've lived all across the country including Ottawa, Toronto, St John's NL, Calgary, Vancouver and now Victoria . The rugged beauty and pace of life drew me in and I am happy to now call Victoria home. 

I am passionate about providing evidence-based medicine to reduce stigma, increase autonomy and empathy especially from reproduction to birth and postpartum. I look forward to working with you in your medical care. 

When I'm not working I'm happy to be walking around local trails or beaches with my labradoodle, friends and partner.
